Extensive training and experience have made Dr. Catherine A. Waller a leader in the emerging fields of Anti-Aging and Functional Medicine. Anti-Aging Medicine is a clinical specialty aimed at the early detection, prevention, treatment, and reversal of age-related decline. The goal of anti-aging medicine is to use recent scientific advances and treatment modalities to promote “Healthy Aging” and to prolong the healthspan of an individual -so that more of their years are spent in good health and few, if any, are spent with disease. Bioidentical hormone replacement therapy is one of the prominent treatment modalities used in Anti-Aging Medicine.
Functional Medicine is an integrative, science-based healthcare approach that treats illness and promotes wellness by focusing on the biochemical processes that go on in the body, and the ways that natural substances such as vitamins and herbs can impact those processes - it is a paradigm shift in medicine that uses recent technological and clinical advances to treat the underlying causes of illness. It focuses on finding and correcting subtle dysfunctions in the biochemical processes of the body, through the use of specialized diagnostic tests, before any disease has a chance to develop.
Dr. Waller’s ability to convey the important, yet complex concepts of Anti-Aging and Functional Medicine in a down-to-earth practical way makes her lectures invaluable for those in search of answers to their health concerns.
